As for Grannie Izzies stone, Wilma and I had talked about it for a long time. Then Virginia Bills of Tx emailed Wilma about it and it went from there. I was chosen to do the actual work because I live here and have a big mouth. HG and I visited many stone companies before finally deciding on Doug Buchanan Millworks in Newland. He has been doing stones for my family since '82 when my Mom died. It would have been placed much earlier but every time we set up a time, it either snowed or rained. Several people donated money for it and also had a couple who requested that their donations go toward David and Sarahs stone repairs. Doug took up both of them and will repair then as much as possible. Bob, so many of those stones need repaired badly. Can you mention that on the web site? If we could get some cousins together, I would gladly go and clean and do what we could ourselves. But many need expert work or they will soon be gone! If you look at the pic of Mills Shook's stone, it shows how bad it is.
