Witnesses Presents, reviewed and ordered to be registered. Ceritfied at office the 10th of April, 1837. William Welch Registered the 15th day of May 1837. B. [?] [?]. This indenture made the 12th day of December in the year of our lord One thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Five Between Jacob Shook of the County of Haywood N.C. one part and the [?] [?] [?] David Shook, Paxton Ammons, [?] Gibson, Jas Burnett of the other part all of the County and State aforesaid. Witnessth, that the said Shook doth give unto the said trustees, for the use of the Methodist Council of Churches a certain bit of land in said county including Shook Camp Ground for that purpose. Begining on west side of the branch [?] a forked [?] on [?] [?] [?] the branch below the spring, then running south 19 degrees East 81 poles to White Oak near the road below the camp ground, then east 20 poles to a [?] Black Ash, then south [?] poles to a Hickory, then west to the beginning, being four acres 187 poles. I the said Jacob Shook do bind my heirs, assigns, executors, and administrators to the said trustees as long as said land is Required and used by the said Methodist [?] institution whereof in consideration of which I assign, [?] and deliver in presence of [?] [?]
