1. John Haynes (Willam4, George J. (R.?)3, Henry2, John1) was born May 7, 1786 in Virginia, and died 1852 in North Carolina. He married Mary (Polly) Shuck Shook, September 8, 1814, daughter of Johann "Jacob" Shook and Isabella Weitzell. She was born January 18, 1796.

Notes: He worked with his brothers in establishing the Primitive Baptist Church in Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee and Northeast Georgia. His name it appears in the minuets of the several churches athat the Haynes brothers were associated with in the 1820's and 1830's. John did marry Mary sometines known as Polly; her family had come from Northampton Co. Pa. Her and John married September 8, 1814.

iv. Polley (Mary) Haynes: b. December 20, 1822, Missouri, d. May 4, 1840. Notes for Polley (Mary) Haynes: Stated in Bible departed this life May the 11. Aged eighteen years, four monts and 27 days or 22 days, its very hard to make the numbers out.
